STALAKTOS COLLECTION :
AN INVITATION TO EXPLORE TIME AND MATTER
STALAKTOS from ancient greek "σταλακτός", "dripping"
This artworks collection, titled “STALAKTOS”, is an analogy for human life, inspired by the slow formation of stalactites. It invites the viewer to meditate on time and evolution.
Just as stalactites form drip by drip, shaping raw and imperfect structures over time, our lives are built experience after experience.
This perpetual process reminds us that, like these natural formations, our lives are the result of a continuous accumulation of lived moments and choices that end up revealing their beauty and strength over time.
By shaping these sculptures by hand, layer after layer, I seek to capture the slow yet relentless movement of nature. Where stalactites take millennia to form, my artworks condense this process into an instant of creation.
WHY CREATE AN ON-CHAIN ARTEWORK COLLECTION ?
In a world where digital technology is redefining our relationship with time and matter, how to create an on-chain artwork inspired by an age-old natural process?
My Artistic Evolution Toward Blockchain
Artists have always evolved with their time. With each cultural or technological revolution, new mediums emerge, redefining artists' relationship to creation and buyers' relationship to collecting.
Exploring Web3 as a new artistic medium allows me to perpetuate my vision by embedding it both in matter and blockchain.
I deeply believe in blockchain technology and its ability to transform our relationship with art. It not only ensures authenticity and provenance, but also creates a new way to interact with artworks.
My choice to combine physical artworks and ordinals
Sculpture is an art form that carries the imprint of the artist's hand and craftsmanship. To me, this connection is essential.
That’s why, even as I embrace Web3, I choose to maintain a physical dimension, because it represents a real connection between the artist and the artwork.
With this project, I invite you to explore a dialogue between artistic heritage and technological innovation, where digital does not replace matter, but enhances it.
Sharing my work with an involved community
For me, Web3 is not just a new way to acquire art; it’s an experience, a living exchange.
Sharing my work with an involved communitst acquiring an artwork—you are directly supporting the artist. In return, the artist recognizes and rewards the community that takes part in this journey.
Unlike the traditional art market, where the relationship between artist and collector often tends to be distant, Web3 breaks down these barriers. It fosters a new sense of proximity, allowing us to share, exchange, and grow together around a common vision.
STALAKTOS SAFE : THE ART OF CONCEALMENT
Throughout history, caves have been seen as mysterious, inaccessible places, often hiding treasures away from the world. Stalactites stand as their silent guardians, suspended within these ancient spaces where time seems frozen.
What if your STALAKTOS SAFE sculpture became a guardian of your digital treasure?
By concealing a hidden compartment designed to hold a cold wallet inside each sculpture, I wanted to bring this concept into reality, offering collectors a completely new experience.
Acquiring this artwork means possessing a secret, a modern-day safe hidden within the matter, where art serves as both a sanctuary and protection for a fragment of the Web3 world.
